A situational analysis of vaccination activities in 11 health facilities in the Bangem Health District.
Since the first case of COVID 19 was made known worldwide in December 2019, the world as of November 10, 2020 had recorded over 51 million cases and over 1.2 million deaths [1]. The African continent as of the same date had recorded the lowest number of cases when compared to the other continents of the world, with close to 2 million cases and over 45 thousand deaths [1]. Africa is therefore seen to contribute to about 3.7% of the global caseload and to about 3.6% of the global death toll [1,2,3]. Although some few countries in Africa such as South Africa, Morocco and Egypt are witnessing a surge in the number of COVID-19 cases, a drastic decline in the number of cases was observed in the months of July, August and September 2020 [4,5]. According to preliminary analysis by the WHO -AFRO, Africans may be twice as likely to experience COVID-19 without any illness, compared with people in the rest of the world [6].
As of the 3th of July 2020, 624 health workers (constituting up to 4.3% of the total number of cases) in Cameroon had been infected with SARS-CoV-2 in Cameroon with 7 (1.1%) of them losing their lives.

As of the 17/04/2020, Cameroon had registered 1,017 confirmed cases of COVID 19 in 7 regions out of the 10 regions that make up the country: Centre (558 cases), Littoral (381 cases), West (60 cases), South West (11 cases), South (4 cases), East (2 cases) and Adamawa (1 case).
The first case was notified in the Centre region. Thereafter the epidemic moved to the littoral region, then to the West, the South West, the South and East Regions.
